The West Mt. Airy Historic House Tour Returns on October 18!

Back by popular demand with a new collection of historic homes to explore!

Mt. Airy Learning Tree (MALT) and West Mt. Airy Neighbors (WMAN) are pleased to present the 3rd Annual West Mt. Airy Historic House Tour.

The self-guided, self-paced tour will take place on Sunday, October 18, from 12:00–4:00 p.m.
Onsite registration will be available until 2:00 p.m. at Commons & Commons LLP, Attorneys at Law, 30 Pelham Road.

This year’s tour offers a rare opportunity to step inside some of West Mt. Airy’s most distinctive 19th- and 20th-century homes, with knowledgeable docents at each stop sharing the history, architecture, and stories behind these remarkable residences. Featured homes may include properties in the historic Pelham section and Mt. Airy’s charming French Village.

Visitors will experience a diverse collection of architectural styles, from a stately Georgian Revival mansion and elegant Colonial Revival homes to a striking modern European-style residence. Along the way, you’ll discover beautifully crafted oak staircases with intricate wood carvings, original fireplace mantels, grand entry halls, period wall sconces, and countless other details that showcase the exceptional craftsmanship of a bygone era.

More than a home tour, this event celebrates the rich architectural heritage of West Mt. Airy while raising awareness of the importance of historic preservation. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore some of the neighborhood’s most beautiful private homes and experience the character, history, and enduring appeal of this remarkable community.
